I'm getting stuttering on play back from Time Line within a V6 project. Set them up as overlaps on tracks above each other. This does stuttering does NOT happen in ACID5 or V5.
The only library that I have in your list is Ma Ja Le.
Which loops are they in the library. I'll test when I get home from work.
Two or three tracks on top of each other? Overlapping with cross-fades?
Stack 'em vertical . .don't worry about WHAT it sounds like . .. meaning MUSICALLY . . please see if you can repro the stutter . .if not it's a Ghost in my machine - yeah?
Sorry Grazie... no stuttering.
I tried just the loops from Saturn and Elsewhere, and I tried the same loops with a video track.
Mario
Edit... Grazie, I've seen where sound problems can be video related.
Try upgrading your video card drivers, and another suggested thing to try is turning down Video Acceleration for your video card.
Mario, and all of this because I got V6a on my machine?
I can still PLAY this same project coherently in V5 and ACID5 plays the loops very well. My point is that with all the changes that V6 HAS done to make itself operate, maybe there is a "change" that it has made that makes its playing of ACID loops - for me at any rate - stuttery. Changing and adjusting that which I can, will only, if I'm lucky, paper over the "potential" weakness - which would still be remaining, and would possibly make me libel to secondary failures somewhere down the track. You see?
My Audio card is part of the ASUS mobo I have. Now if Sony, et al, could test my mobo and say that I needed to UG my drivers to get ACID loops to not to stutter, then away we would go! The other thing is that if there is a "glitch" with ACID loops and my ASUS P4 800 deluxe then I'd appreciate a communication. Hey, I don't expect Sony would have tested all the mobos in the universe! It would appear that with your setup - maybe you could detail yours here, so I could follow it through - V6a (you have V6a, yes?) it works. Is there a note from Sony about needing to change Nvidia drivers beause of a Video/Audio conflict? If there was, I would be at the door!
What still remains, dominating my logic, is that I can play these loops coherently in both the project it was created - Vegas5 - and in ACID5.
Mario, seriously, thank you for sticking with me - this stuttering is really starting to hurt.
Well since I can't seem to be able to sleep...
;-)
I checked out your MoBo, and the soundMAX drivers are too old to make a difference.
The nVidia drivers are only a couple weeks old, but I don't think that it would help all that much, worth a try maybe, AFTER you try turning down your video acceleration.
Have you tried contacting Sony directly?
Their e-mail support has the ability to attach files now. Maybe if you were to select just one small part where it stutters, and send the veg file along with the neccessary loops...
