action movie essentials will this work in vegas

i found this action movie essentials
has anyone used this in vegas , theres blood fxs and fire and other
things , they are pre-keyed and look cool

in some of the programs they use
it looks easy but i am not sure in vegas
any info on this would be greatful if you
used this software

The files should work with (Vegas handles straight and pre-multiplied alpha). However, it may work better if you use a dedicated compositing application like After Effects Pro... I believe you'd need to composite the elements together yourself.

videocopilot and creativecow should have some free tutorials that show how some shots are composited together.

I've not used these clips, but my guess is these pre-rendered clips would be quite easy to incorporate into a video with vegas. Simply turn on the alpha channel and place in a track above your live action. Adjust the placement with pan/crop then adjust the tone/brightness of the clip to match your original video and you're done. The question is do they have a clip to match the perspective of your original video.

That's where Track Motion and it's 3D rotation capabilities comes in handy :-)
