I've always received activation emails in under a minute (no matter what time of day or night) so I don't know what you're doing wrong.
Is this computer connected to the net?
If yes, are you using the on-line method of registration?
If you're not connected, did you use this page or the register from another computer option to register?

I feel your pain.

How long ago did you send in your request? I recently had a similar situation as yours, in that I had a re-build of my existing main Vegas PC. But this was timed at the END of a major piece of work that I needed to get out of the door. Fortunately, the re-build happened just AFTER this project and this taught me 2 lessons:

A] Never do anything to structurally affect my work with a present time-is-of-the-essence project

and . .

B] Create backups and swing over to a live and running PC with Vegas on it. Whether that's going to be a standalone tower PC or Laptop or whatever, but a "get going quickly" solution.

And I guess that's the responsibility I was needing to take on board for myself too.

OK, when I got back my PC and started to rebuild my s/w set, I also needed to not just do a re-register but because I had now a "new" PC, albeit a rebuild, I had to have new activation codes. Sony provided them for me - but it did take more time than the "normal" simple return of email period we know from doing a "same" PC Vegas reinstall.

So, how long has it been since you sent your email? And did you need to do a rebuild during a project? I wouldn't!

Grazie

Ditto Mike. Plus what he says in as much HOW are you asking for activation? I use the FROM ANOTHER PC method, and prior to the rebuild this was within seconds. But I needed to do their activation process and it worked sweetly. I can only imagine that as you ARE a previous Vegas user that you also went through the same process prior to this? Yes? Meaning, did send an email too?

Could it be a spamfilter that has caught it?

Could you perhaps put the PC momentarily on the internet to activate Vegas?

Is anyone else having trouble with their activation server? I get error 41 when I try to activate any of Vegas8, SF9, DVDA4.5.

It took 2 days to get an email response and they say it's my problem, my network or sn or anti virus.

Well, I have no AV or firewall or Anti-anything on the machine, the s/ns have worked before and I tried it on another machine on another network with a completely different internet provider and got the same problem.

They're also not answering the phone today.
