Click on the Capture Video icon (2nd from the left on the Media Pool Tab. That opens your Capture Screen. At the top, click on Video - see if your driver is even listed. If it's listed and using that driver, there should be a black dot beside the name of the device.

I don’t know about the Adaptec VideoOh! but it might be that the drivers are proprietary and can only be seen by their software. Pinnacle Systems is famous for this. Their analog hardware can only be seen by their software. That means you must capture with the software that came with the card but you can edit the captured video with Screenblast.

It looks like this device only captures in MPEG format, which is good for going direct to DVD but bad for editing. It can be done, but it’s not optimal for quality. If you want to get serious about video editing you should consider getting a device that captures DV AVI files like the ADS Pyro A/V Link (which is the same price Adaptec VideoOh! but much higher quality). The Adaptec VideoOh! is targeted for people who largely want to capture their tapes on DVD with no minimal, if any, editing.
