"Add button to toolbar" when button has no icon?

I have added buttons for UltimateS Pro and one of its "sub-applications" to my toolbar. However, neither of those has an icon, so even though they're added to the toolbar they're invisible until/unless I mouse-over the location where they are on the toolbar. When the cursor is in the right position, they each become visible as a blank white square. I can click the blank square and launch the function, but... is there a way to create an icon for each button, so that they'll be visible on the toolbar even when I don't have the cursor right over them?

Maybe this might help:

From Vegas Pro 8 help....

If you want to display custom icons for scripts in the Scripting menu and toolbars, you can add .png files to your Script Menu folder.

Create a 32-bit PNG file with the icon you want to use. Icons must be 16x16 pixels, and transparency is supported.

Save the PNG file in your Script Menu folder (typically C:\Program Files\Sony\Vegas Pro 8.0\Script Menu) using the same name as the script the icon should represent.

For example, to assign a custom icon to the HelloWorld.js script, the icon should be saved as HelloWorld.js.png.

Customize the toolbar as needed, and the custom icons will be displayed in the Scripting menu (and in any toolbars that include the script) toolbar the next time you start the application.

===================

Obviously you would need to modify the above for your situation.

Is there a way to save the toolbar once you have created it with all icons that you want, like you can backup and save layout options. For when you upgrade Vegas of install it on another machine.

Presently there is no User Option that comes with VEgas to do this. Pity . . .

I have added buttons for UltimateS Pro and one of its "sub-applications" to my toolbar. . . they're invisible until/unless I mouse-over the location where they are on the toolbar. When the cursor is in the right position, they each become visible as a blank white square.

This is not normal UliSPro Icon behaviour. I have a range of UliSPro Icons up there and all are visible all the time. I would suggest you have another issue.

DO a search hereabouts for wayward "known" visible/non-visible Icon issues. And yes it IS tedious.

This is a bug in Vegas that has been there for a long time. Usually closing Vegas and reopening it will make the icons reappear. I occasionally loose my icons in the middle of an edit session and it's quite frustrating but I close and re-open Vegas and they re-appear. This is all script icons not just Ultimate S Pro. As Grazie said, Ultimate S Pro comes complete with icons so if you are not seeing them, it's a Vegas problem.

I've come across this often and discovered that rescanning the scripts folder (Tools/Scripting/Rescan Script Menu Folder) brings the icons back. Certainly faster and less annoying than restarting Vegas.

Interesting. How do you save as 32 bit though? I have IrfanView and Elements 6.
