Adding a new Export Codec and what is the least lossy?

Ok, if you can't tell I'm not a genius when it comes to the true techie side of things yet, but I'm learning and loving it.

1) I am wandering if and how I can ad Codecs to the render list, as well as what codec is the least lossy codec available. such as Raw file format for Digital camera is "lossless" quality. Is there a "raw" video codec? (I understand that no matter what when encoding there is going to have to be some change in the file but is there a way to minimize it?

2) I am also wondering if anyone knows what type of DV the Panasonic AGDVX100 uses not the AGDVX100A (as that came out less then a month or so after purchasing mine, *mumbling and muttering under my breath). IE. DV20, DV25, or DV50(I konw it's not this one as I think that's Something like DVCPRO or DIGIBETA?) or whatever it is.

Thanks for the help guys

1.If you are shooting DV editing in vegas and outputing to DV . the vegas codec is the way to go IMO. Yes you can add codecs , however the vegas is very ,very good
2. DV25

you can alwasy use the sony YUV codec built in , or huffyuv (you will have to install it)

but if shot in dv and imported as dv , might as well stick with dv

Thanx again guys, the only reason I ask is because I will have to play it from a VT2 and there is a DV video w/ interleved uncompressed adio codec that the place I do the work for likes. So there you go.
