adding acoustic mirror to directx

When I first got vegas(2.0) I loaded ALL the impulse files from Acoustic mirror into my PC. After realizing what a cpu glut it was, I deleted it entirely. Now that I bumped up my processor, I'd like to start using A.M. again, but don't rightly know what would be the best way to do this. I don't need but a handful of the reverbs, so once I find them on the CD, how should I go about getting those back into my directx folders? Also, can any ac mirror effects/impulses be used directly from CD?

The AM impluses can be kept on any drive/location you wish. When you load an impulse into Acoustic Mirror it loads the file into RAM, so it should work fine from the CD Drive. However, when you reload a Veg project that uses AM, it will expect to find the impulse in the same drive location. For this reason it is best to keep the impulses on your harddrive (unless you don't mind leaving that CD in your CD-ROM all the time).

I personally store mine in a directory called c:\SF_AMI (Sonic Foundry Acoustic Mirror Impluses). This makes the file path shown in the AM plugin window shorter.
