Is there any way to get album, artist, genre, track#, etc. tags added to mp3 and mp4 rendered output? I don't see any place in the render template config. Can the renderer pull it from project info or someplace else?
Thanks for the info... not encouraging... So this means I have to either create a custom render template for every project I render or I have to enter all the info every time I render. Neither option thrills me.
Seems to me that all of this info is in the project scope, not unique to one render. Sure would be nice I could enter it all in the project info area and have any and all renderers that utilize this info to pull it from there. (And it would be saved as part of the project).
I don't see any similar tab at all for mp4 renders. mp4 supports the same tags as mp3.
Oh well... I guess I'll have to look for some shareware app to add the tags post-render.
If you enter the values into the project they'll carry through and overwrite what you set in the render. Except you don't get to specify ALL the values in the project. I create a custom template with all the common tag parameters so I only need to modify one value for each track.
There is a shareware app around that'll modify all mp3 files in one hit, I think it can even load values from a spreadsheet. But mostly I use the good old WinAmp to edit the tags.
Thanks. But my biggest concern is mp4. iTunes is pretty archaic about how it organizes (or doesn't organize) video clips. I create individual clips for ceremony, toasts, first dance, bouquet, etc. for each wedding I shoot. I'm trying to come up with a way to group (at least semi-automatically) clips from each wedding into individual playlists. According to a discussion on the iTunes forum, their smart playlists can group based on tags in the mp4 video files.
So are you aware of a shareware-type app that will add tags to mp4 video files? So far, the only ones I've found work only on mp3 and not mp4.
