I have been out of the loop for awhile, and just upgraded to V6+DVD from V5+DVD. While I am waiting for the package to arrive, I downloaded the trial Vegas6. In the past with Vegas5 I didn't use the trimmer, but in trying to re-familiarize myself with the program I started playing with the trimmer.
If I select an event in the trimmer and drag it to the timeline, the video and audio are both fine, BUT
If I select the same event and use any of the other options for moving it to the timeline the audio sounds like someone playing low notes on a keyboard, no sound from the audio, just like music in very slow motion.
the other options that I'm trying ( that are causing the problem) are
1) hitting "A" on the keyboard,
2) "right click->"add media from cursor"
3) using the "add media from cursor button below the trimmer.
