Adding Chap/Scene Markers to Existing Scene Select

I created a scene selection menu, and it all worked great. However I recently shortened the video and therefore had to remove a few of the scene/chapter markers at the end. I was able to do that just fine.

However now I want to add them back and I can't figure out how to do it. I've created the chapter/scene markers on the timeline and I can see them, but they don't appear on the left hand side of the page where the other scene selection stuff appears. And when I Preview the DVD Scene Selection, the new chapter/scene markers don't show up. Do I need to regenerate the menu somehow, or something? What am I missing? I assume there MUST be some way to add more chapter/scene markers!

Thanks in advance for any help, suggestions or tips anyone can provide.

You need to re-do the "insert scene selection" if you want to do it automatically, or else just insert a blank button and then link that to the new chapter points.

CAUTION: when you add or delete chapter points, all the references to existing chapter points get moved!!! I have written many times to Sony about this. I believe that this behavior is NEVER what is wanted: when you create a link to a chapter stop, if other chapters are later added before that point, you still want your button to reference that same point in time. However, that is not how it works. Once you link to the third chapter point on the timeline, if you add several chapter stops before that, your button will now point to what is now the third chapter stop, somewhere earlier on the timeline.

Bad design decision which should have been fixed long ago (actually I don't have 4.5, only 4.0d, so perhaps it HAS been fixed ...)

Hi John, thanks so much. I think this bug you have described might have been fixed n v4.5 because I haven't seen this behavior. However I'm not 100% certain.

The problem with re-doing the insert scene selection is because after I did the scene selection menu creation last time, I manually tweaked each and every button and page, and I have about 50 chapter points so I don't want to redo it all over again. So it sounds like I need to insert a blank button and link to that chapter point but how I do link to the chapter point? I can see how to add new buttons to completely separate media files but it's not clear how to link to a chapter point. Do I add media, or do I choose a different option?
