Adding file that has audio and video

In JScript, if I have a a blank project and I want to add a video clip with audio to the project at timecode point 00:00, how do I do that. I've looked over all the other scripts and I can add the video part but the audio does not show up. What is the proper way of doing this?

It's a two step process. First, add the video to a video track. Second, add the audio to an audio track. They must be added separately.
