Adding Graphics to video

I have been enjoying using VMS for family videos, and am now starting to produce a marketing video for work. I need to overlay some simple graphics (lines and shapes) over some stills and over some video.
Do I need to use another software program to design the graphics and import them into VMS? Or can this be done all within VMS 9 Platinum Pro Pack?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Frank,
Unfortunately, it is usually faster, easier, and better to create them in another program and then import. You can check out some simple things like arrows and such under your text fonts, and look at 'Wingdings.' I also seem to remember there was a folder of 'extras' that came with the program and it had some things like thought bubbles and stuff. Let us know if it helps. Cin

Another method for simple shapes is to use the Cookie cutter effect, add feather to taste and have Media Generator solid color or background image show thru.

You can also create lines and shapes in MS Paint using a white background. A more flexible method is to use a program that creates the image as an Alpha Channel against a transparent background.
