Adding Media to Project

Help!!!! I am new to this software. I did have Pinnacle Studio but returned it due to them having an issue with audio insertion and poor tech support.

I am becoming familiar with the software and have created a couple of sample videos but now I am creating a new one and when I go to add Media to my project, which happens to be scanned pictures that I used in my last samples) when I drag a picture to the video section, the single picture displays as multiples across the entire video row horizontally. I assume its a setting I must have set accidentally. Please help.

Thanks

Stills default as 5 second increments. It sounds like you may be "zoomed in" on the time line. So video factory just displays the media info over and over until it fills the specified amout of time on the time line. I was a bit puzzled at first but you will be OK. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the reply. So, are you happy with this software??? I fixed the problem but didn't know how. Your reply helps alot. I think Pinnacle is more user friendly but I didn't like their support. They offer 90 days free support but you are on hold with them for 45 min and finally hang up due to it not being an 800 number. Also, they say they will e-mail you back within 48 hrs and that was 7 days ago and no response yet.

I'd like to point out that this is not a problem that needs to be fixed. Rather, it's the natural way to view the timeline. If the think of the timeline as a filmstrip, VF will show you as many "frames" as it can fit in the available space. You can "zoom in" on the timeline to view every frame if you wish to do so. In that case, a still image would appear as many repeating frames, just as it would on a filmstrip. When you "zoom out", VF will show the first frame and the last frame of every event (given enough space) and try to fill in as many in-between frames as possible. This will allow you to view your project like a story book, in as much or as little detail as you want (depending on the zoom level).

Hope this clears things up a little.
