Adding New Blue Titler Pro 7 titles to the Vegas Pro 20 timeline

I'm a new user of TP7 and struggling to learn the titling workflow:

  • Must all titles in NB TP7 begin by dragging the default blank title from the Media Generator onto the Vegas timeline?
  • Or is it possible to reverse the order -- create a library of project titles in TP7, save them, and then drag or insert them into Vegas?

This seems remarkably clunky. I am creating a video version of a PPT deck and I was hoping to work on the titles first and add the video elements later.

I am thrilled that I can use HEX colors in Vegas!

Thanks,

You should have a Standalone (SAL) version of Titler Pro 7 where you can indeed do some or all of your titling in the SAL without having to open Vegas Pro. In the SAL, you can save each title as a separate project. In Vegas Pro, you'll still need to add TP7 to the timeline as a Media Generator or as an FX directly onto the video events via the Video FX Plugin Chooser and then in TP7 import the selected title into TP7.

NB: It should be noted that when using the SAL version, you do not have any view of or reference to the video events as occurs within Vegas Pro.

If you create a bunch of titles, you can certainly save them as templates. You might still just drag the default and select the template after it's added. But the designs can certainly be made ahead of time.
