adding pdf files

I have Vegas 7 and would like to add pdf files into the timeline. I'm creating a presentation with photos and would like to add the powerpoint and word files I have converted to pdf into the project. Does anyone know how I can do this? I tried saving my powerpoint file to jpg and adding it but when saving to jpg, the text is not so clear and it's blurry around the edges and leaves a not so professional look to it. Anyone else try to do this....??

i wouldn't bother with .pdf. Get what you want to display on the screen, press the PrntScrn key, paste into a photo editor, crop, and save as a .png file.

Better yet, use the original photos *before* putting them in powerpoint and word documents.

Also keep in mind that SD / DVD resolution is only about 654x480 for NTSC or 720x576 for PAL. Comparing this to printed output from word or powerpoint means that the video frame is about the same as maybe a 1.5" x 2" rectangle of the paper. You can't get much readable print or picture details in a box that size. If that's your output format then you can't get very sharp details.

Vegas won't import PDF files (I know, I've tried to do it) so my workaround is to open the PDF page in Photoshop and then save the page in PNG format.
