Adding some Soviet grunge to Vegas.

Tired of clients asking "what is THAT?"?

The Oligarc plugin should really get the client wound up. By default it opens with all the controls labelled in Russian just to add to the Soviet era feel. Works in Vegas 8 and according to those with golden ears and good monitors does it's thing very well and cheap, heck it's worth the money just for the look of the skin.

Other FXs from the same crew include Psycho Dither and Transient Monster. Just in case you feel it would be unpatriotic to have such plugs in your arsenal, they are written in the USA.

Fully functional unlimited time demo versions are available, only thing paying removes is the nagging popups.

Very interesting appearance for a plug-in.

I don't speak Russian, but had to learn a little bit about the cyrillic alphabet to implement some Russian user prompts for an embedded control project.

The "faux cyrillic" lettering (See Wikipedia) they are using for "Oligarc" would really translate to English as the letters "F G I B D Ya S".

But hey, it looks cool and exotic.

I took a look at this. I work in Ukraine and took four years of Russian language. This says nothing just Russian font. How does it work by the way? Well got to go...

And I had Russioan at school when I was a kid back in the Soviet era, and can confirm: the "word" on the picture doesn't mean anthing :)

Well the presets certainly produce some totally out there effects, not for the faint hearted. But they sound clean, certainly not trashy and there seems to be a pretty surgical filter in amongst it which could be usefull.
As for how it looks, this Vegas screenshot reveals a problem, you really want a 24" monitor to fit it and much else on the screen. It does look pretty, the indicators are nicely done with varying brightness and flares.
Anyways, it's sure a nice change after staring at the vanilla Vegas GUI and those same old Vegas plugs all day. And the good news, Vegas 8.0b found it straight away, glad that got sorted. Now if only I can get my iZotopes plugs back.
