Adding Text Effects

Hi,

I'm very newbee to the VMS 10 Plat. and I am used to HD movie authoring software such as Director 8 etc. In those solutions (hardly a match to Sony's but still much more user oriented) I can easly add various text effects to the text layer at different stages of the editing.

Here, its a mess - I cannot find anywhere how I add effects to a text I added in the text layer.

How do I do this exactly? I'm completely clueless - please help !! :((

The Effects tab is plainly visible in the Sony Text window, along with Placement, Properties, and Edit.

What text effects were you wanting?

Thank you both for your reply and assistance.
However, I was thinking of a less producer/editor working-my-butt-off-on-every-text solution. Are there no pre-arranged templates of text effects, without the need to work an hour on every text I add to the movie?...

Of course there are. 12 presets in the Text window to use as starting templates.
Click the Media Generators tab, then Text.

There is also a nice set of tutorials and instructions that come with the program, which will help you with basic navigation.
