adding text to video timeline

Hi. Another quick question on V22. Adding text has always been the same format for me since forever. Would add extra video track above first one and add Media Generator Text there but on V22 doesn't show. Thought maybe behind video but not the case. It seems to be greyed out a bit on timeline but it's not muted. Must be something I'm missing. Any help? Thanks.

@sRecollet 😉👍, Also did you know you have an effect applied to the whole project, fx button at the top of the preview with a blue dot on it? Whatever this is it will affect your text as well as the video.

@Gid Thanks, text works now. & that's weird, I never touch that. I do apply FX to every clip individually. I just opened and says Color Grading checked, but does nothing when I uncheck. Very weird. Maybe no attributes or whatever tied to it. Anyways, thanks again so much. :)

@sRecollet No worries, all you have to do to apply an effect to that fx button at the top is drop an fx on the preview, so it's very easy to accidentally apply one. No idea how easy it is to apply Colour Grading tho as I only use it occasionally & on events on the timeline that I've selected.

@Gid Thanks, just tinkered with it a bit. I'm sure will come in handy in the future knowing I can apply effect to whole project but mostly do it individually with my other projects but will help with current one as all vids are from Samsuny Galaxy whereas my other usual projects are from various clips from the internet so the color/brightness and all that varies from clip to clip. Only effects I ever do is color correction (NewBlue Video Tuneup and sometimes NewBlue Spotlight and Flash and Dissolve transitions timed perfect with music which I consider an effect in itself. :) Thankfully made old post awhile back so I remembered how to add those transitions to shortcut transition menu on top of the default Insert Crossfade and Insert Other. Small life saver also for me. :)
