Adding Tint To A Clip

I was wondering how i would go about applying a noticeable tint to a clip. All of the tutorials that i have read talk about color correction and removing a predominant tint. In this instance i want to add a noticeable tint that would affect the image. This example

shows a red tint that wasnt removed from the dvd. It was a mistake but i like the effect. I remember watching the movie "Donnie Darko" awhile back that used a special grade of kodak film to achieve a bluish-metallic tint to the film. I was wondering how i could replicate this digitally?

Try using the Sepia FX and just change the colour to whatever you want. Increasing the blending strength will allow you to control how much tint is applied.

You could use one of the text background "Solid Colors" and place it above the clip you want tinted. Then set the backgrounds color to the tint you want. Finally drag the opacity slider down on the text background until you get the level of saturation you want.
