This is a recurring topic but I would really appreciate it if someone can help me find a solution to this problem. I used my Canon Powershot SD300 to take several video clips during my stay in Europe. Now I'm trying to put a video together but everytime I drag the video clip files only the audio is dragged into the audio track. The video clip files are in AVI format. Another thing I noticed is that my friends' videos do work fine, maybe because they are in MPEG2 format. Also something I've noticed is that when I click on a video clip file under the explorer tab on my VMS v.6.0 (Platinum Edition) it says something like this at the bottom:
"Video: Stream attributes could not be determined
Audio: 11,024Hz, 8 Bit, Mono, 00:00:13:08, Uncompressed"
I really don't understand. Is it VMS not recognizing my files, and is there a solution for this? I mean, I can play the files on Windows Movie Maker, Media Player, QuickTimes, etc. I really hope these files are fine. If anyone can please help me out with this problem I would really, really, really appreciate it. Making this movie with all my pictures and video clips means a lot to me.
Thanks!
