Hello,
On a movie (avi file) i would like to cut frames around the scene i want to keep to adapt movie sirze to scene. For exemple i have a film with plane instruments panel and i want to have only one instrument (square form) so i want to cut all around this sqare and create a new file wich have the same size as the instrument.
A kind of pan/crop but wich interacts on the movie size.
Thanks in advance.

If you go into the Pan/Crop window, you have two options,
#1 is to simply zoom in by grabbing a corner and dragging it. Be advised that, since video resolution is fixed at 720 x 480 (NTSC), any zooming in will cause pixelization of the clip. The degree of severity depends on the amount you zoom in.
#2 is to setf the "Stretch to fill frame" option (under Source) to No. Now when you zoom in, you'll get a black border around everything you don't want.

Hi Mike,
I have tried both options:
When i render the project final file keeps always the size of the original file (#1:less frame due to zoom, what i would want is that final file (rendred) have the proportions i have defined with pan/crop. Do you think it is possible ?
Thanks in advance

Vincent, try this. After you determine your proportions with pan/crop, set the project properties (File - Properties) to those numbers. Then hit "Apply".
