adjust scene brightness

This is my first day using Sony Vegas 8. I want to increase the brightness of a scene but have not been successful. Can anyone help. thanks gg

Use the + icon next to the clip, and from the new window that opens select "brightness and contrast".

Thanks, I can't believe it was that easy. I had to split the scene but it worked perfectly. I'll have more question, I'm sure.
