Adjust video size to fit broadcast ( TV, Television )

Hi there!

I am facing the problem that my video resolution is higher than the viewable resolution on a TV (I am using PAL and recording on a Panasonic AG-DVX100 E).

Theoretically I should have two options:

1. Change the section (frame) of what can be seen on a TV which is a ggod option when I don't need everything I have recorded in a certain shot

2. Zoom out so I can see everything recorded in a shot on my TV

Am I right? Are there more options?
How do I apply these effects in Vegas? is there something like a "Apply frame size to viewable broadcast frame size" button (could not find one!)?

Thanx!

Try track motion. This will let you reduce and move the frame.

Better yet, keep this frame size difference in mind and allow for it in shooting. Televisions typically cut off about 10% of the edges of the frame. This is normal and you should allow extra space around your subjects.
