ADK Rocks!

I cannot say enough good things about Advanced Design Kentucky and a special shout out to Eric Bowen (who actually built my Win7 PC)!!!! These guys give Rolls Royce, Diamond Level customer service!!! I ordered the PC at the very end of 2009 and took delivery right at the top of 2010, I think. 2 years later, if I have a problem with it, they will still help me with it.

Yesterday, I was having a major issue with my ADVC-100 not talking to my computer, making it impossible to work ( see details here:
http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/forums/ShowMessage.asp?MessageID=825784&Replies=4 ). As it was Saturday, there was nobody to call so I was hitting every forum I could think of for help (thanks to all who responded here yesterday!) as well as sending out email requests. Eric called me TODAY (ON A SUNDAY!!!!!!) and ran a remote diagnostic on the computer and determined that I had a problem with the firewire port, NOT a software issue. How cool is that? Tomorrow, I'll pick up a new card and some new cables and I should be up and running by late morning. THAT'S UNPARALLELED SERVICE!!! I can't recommend these guys strongly enough!

I just thought this kind of behavior should be rewarded with some kind of acknowledgement. I know a lot of you guys are "MacGyvers" and usually build your own riggs. But if you guys are looking for a serious turnkey workstation with the best possible product support, you should definitely give ADK a call!

I'm pretty sure they don't offer free delivery to Melbourne, Australia. That's a shame, because I would like to buy my new set up from a company that offers this kind of service.

XDT in Melbourne gave me better service than that. Years ago now when the Supermicro system I bought from them had a glitch I had a man at the door and the problem fixed in under 1 hour. Be warned though, you pay a premium for their systems.
