Adobe Premiere VS Vegas Video

I started video editing 3 years ago using vegas 2.0 then switched to Adobe Premiere 6 for few months and now i'm back using vegas 3. My reason in switching to Premiere is because I find more third party reference material such as advance vedeo editing techniques using Premiere compared to Vegas Vedio where there is none (as far as I know). I had enquired to dozens of books stores if they cary any third party advance reference material in vedeo editing using Vegas Video but no luck. does any one know if there is such a book or any advance reference material?

Sonic Foundry has some Advanced Tutorials that I bought from them on a CD and I found them useful. I second the motion to try Gary's 3 tutorials as well. Good stuff. I haven't seen any books anywhere on Vegas. You can't even buy a printed manual any longer. How about it Gary, are you working on one?

Hi GG,

I wouldn't mind reading through your compilation file some time if you do ever put it anywhere (or if you could email it depending on the size). I've only been at this for just over a year. There is so much to learn, but I get to produce a couple of videos a month for our church so it's a great hobby for me. I still have the day job though :)

I know that ULead has been sponsoring a bunch of books (usually cost around $29.95) so perhaps SF would be willing to do the same. What do they have to lose really. Seeing as how the manual is not printed any longer I bet a ton of VV users would buy a book for $30-$40 if it was offered on the website. That probably doesn't add up to a living, but it could be worth the effort of writing the book and just think of the fame... Hmmmm... er, send me the file and I'll edit it. I could use some fame <gd&r>
