Advanced Options

Hi, folks.
For a while I have been curious about the dozens of "hidden" Vegas settings (those that you get when you Shift-click "Options").
Some of then just plainly seem not to work, or do they mess-up Vegas (like the "skin number").
Maybe this is not the right time to ask (V4 coming in) but:
Has anyone ever tried to get something "useful" out of tweaking these "hidden" options ? Right now, I only succeeded with the default transition time ...
Cheers !!!

Yes. I thought the default "snap" characteristic (where clips have an affinity for neighboring clips, or are attracted to the flashing cursor) was a bit too aggressive. I changed the "Snap width" from 7 pixels down to 3, and I like it much better now. This is on the list about 1/3 of the way down.

Huh?
I must be missing something .. I see no difference clicking "Options" whether I hold Shift or not. The list is the same.
Thanks ..

Click Options, then shift-Preferences. You'll get an extra folder "Internal".
Aware, playing with fire here. You may mess up Vegas altogether, and have to reinstall.

Yes, riredale, the "snap" setting is fine, also the PNG as default snapshot, and the default video template. But I don't know much else ...

Anyone willing to go through all that stuff and try to extract some practical use ? No ? Guess not.
But it's a pity all that sitting there unused (by me, that is).
