Advanced technique examples

I also mess with audio using, God forbid, Sonar. Within the application there are sample files for one to browse and get a grip on what the program is actually able to do plus many useful tutorials.
Vegas 8 has a few basic tutorials but I am looking for examples on what the power of Vegas 8 is able to accomplish like a short active file that has atomation, special created FX , and all of the things that might explain the terms that I don't understand like compositing mult track use fancy media generator use and the likes. There are many terms that beg for explanation.
Any suggestions?

there is normally sample projects that you can get that show off how features can be used. Youtube also has a treasure trove (I have some vegas stuff under my youtube account). There's also jetdv's newsletter archive. Here's some links:

http://www.vasst.com/

I'd love to do a "what I did" video on this one:

Need to ask permission first though, and waiting a bit first.

EDIT: only complaint about vasst.com is that when they re-did their site they pretty much eliminated any way to simply list all their vegas veg's that people uploaded so now you need to do a search.

Don't forget Spot's book: Vegas Pro 8 Editing Workshop by Douglas Spotted Eagle (Focal Press) - this book is amazingly thorough and not "just for beginners." I understand a new edition is coming soon! http://www.amazon.com/Vegas-Pro-Editing-Workshop-Expert/dp/0240810465/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1242756956&sr=8-10

I hope God will never will forbid it, because Sonar is the jewel in my multi media toolbox.

I love sonar as well.
When I first became a Cakewalk user I purchased Sound Forge plugins a long time ago for win 98.
I missed them greatly when I upgraded to XP and added Sony HS. Video.
I was overjoyed when I loaded Vegas 8 pro and guess what. My Direct X plugins once Sound Forge and now purchased by Sony appear in both programs in upgraded forms.
Waves has some great stuff too.
Anyone else agree?
