I was recently tempted to purchase a Korg D888 Hard Drive recorder for easy 8 track recording, but managed to resist, partly because the price has recently risen, and also its maximum quality is CD - 44khz.
Instead I am thinking of using my Core2duo laptop with Vegas or Acid, but I need a new external sound card - one that is 64 bit capable for the day I go a-Vista-ing, and has at least 8 inputs, preferably at least 4 XLR.

I know there are some good musos here in the Vegas fraternity - any recommendations?
