AE is using a DV CODEC, either QuickTime's or MS's. SF is rendering it to the SF CODEC.

I would reccommend for quality to render the AE stuff to uncompressed if you have the drive space and then let SF render it to the SF CODEC.

I would think that it would be possible to render using the MS DV codec (if you're willing to live with it's problems) and have Vegas print to tape without rendering. However, all your settings will need to match. Something doesn't match. Compare media properties for an AE rendered clip to the media properties for one that prints without rendering, and see what's different.

Although, like kkolbo said, you're going to get better DV using uncompressed from AE and the SF DV codec.
