After FX 6 poor export quality

I rendered out a sequence at a buddy's station through After FX 6 to bring into a Vegas project and was stunned at the poor quality. We needed to use Steadymove and Magic Bullet, which was the reason for After FX in the first place, but even at Best quality rendering, the result is very pixelated compared to Vegas and there is all sorts of interlace flicker. Did we do something wrong, or is the Steadymove plug causing this? When I render the same sequence in Vegas (without Steadymove, of course), it looks great, as usual.

I really need this footage steadied, but I can't accept the crappy quality we are seeing...

Is steadymove one of those things to remove "jitter?" If so, then that's probley your problem.

Be sure to render out of AE uncompressed. The files are giant, but the quality is perfect.

uncompressed, full, best, lower thirds

Thanks a million, gents! That solved it. I've become spoiled by Vegas' awesome codec and expect others to match it, but they don't (especially Cinepak, apparently).
