After Some Changes, Pro 11 *Appears* To Be Stable

Tired of the ever more frequent crashing in Vegas Pro 11, I ordered a very cheap copy of Pro 10 from eBay, intending to replace the apparently still buggy later version until that one finally got debugged. Before loading Pro 10, though, I decided to dump Pro 11 and do a fresh install of it. After reading about possible problems with USB thumb drives becoming defective through use, I also decided to remove the 4-gig (cheap) drive attached to my computer. Things had gotten so bad with the original installation that eventually with EVERY change in the project, I needed to save (and then the project would promptly disappear!), and then I would reopen the project (and find the saved change fortunately intact). What a MESS! 8^( Since with the original installation I began to have crashes associated with adding too many filters to a clip without saving (about three, then two, then one...), I defeated the auto-save feature in the reloaded software and began to add filters to a clip (changing the parameters in each). At thirteen added and modified filters without a crash, I felt that Pro 11 was now likely "safe" to proceed editing with. I don't know if my problems were caused by a defective thumb drive, or just by a need for a fresh installation of Pro 11, but all seems OK so far....;-)
