Further experimenting, trying to get Antares Autotune to
work in Vegas gave me this result. I tried the "Apply Non-
Real time Event FX", this seems like a great feature and
means that I will probably use soundforge less doing this
same kind of thing. Only problem is that Autotune is
a "Mono" effect and is suppose to only work with mono
tracks. When you hit "Ok" and actually do the processing
on your Mono Vocal, it renders it as a "Stereo"
Track....this would make sense if I was applying reverb,
which is a Stereo effect, but this is a mono effect, on a
mono track. You do this in soundforge and it handles the
files correctly, mono or stereo. So here's a word of
advice SF....pssssst....steal the code you used in Sound
Forge and do the same thing in Vegas....you can do
this...it isn't illegal or unethical, there's no need to
reinvent the wheel.

Optimally, here's what us Antares Autotune users would like
to see. We would like to take an "event" of a mono vocal
and loop a section,to be able to audition it with the other
musical tracks using Autotune, so that we have a musical
reference for our pitch changes. Then once we made our
adjustments, we want to hit "OK" and have autotune process
it. Then we will move onto the next section that's out of
tune and do the samething until the entire vocal is in
tune.

P.S. Damn!!! I just bought another Tascam DA-88, so I
could do transfers to Vegas for just this purpose, because
my other studio has 32 Tracks of DA-88's and no way to tune
vocals. Arggghhh!!!!

Brian -
You can render either as mono or stereo - it's like
rendering from the file menu. You choose a file format,
etc... you can choose mono or stereo. This confused me at
first too. Being able to preview with other tracks would be
great, though
