AI Dehaze

alderny wrote on 12/18/2024, 9:46 AM

I have just downloaded Vegas Pro 22, build 194 and tried to use AI Dehaze, but get this error message: ModelNotFound: If you see this, there's a problem with MagixCVAi.xml. Since I have downloaded all the latest software I expected the AI features to work. Do I need to activate something first? Does anyone know what is wrong?

Used Vegas Pro since about version 14

Vegas Pro 22 (VP20 also installed)

Win 11 Home 64 bit, always updated

Intel Core i5 13400F, 10 cores/16 threads

32GB DDR5 RAM, 5200

Intel Arc A750 Graphics card

MSI Pro B760M-A Motherboard

Yes, I downloaded it when I downloaded the Vegas installer. Thanks.

All AI effects are listed in the Video Event FX dialogue. They just don't work.

They do not work "instantly" and do require a lot of computing power. What are your computer specs? See my Signature below for a template, and then add your specs to your Signature in your User Profile.

Which one specifically does not work? AI Dehaze does work great on still images.

From your last comment on the forum a few years ago, your computer specs at the time were:

OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit, CPU: Intel Core i7 4790K @ 4.00GHz, RAM: 16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 799MHz, Storage: Samsung SSD 860 EVO 250GB SATA + 2 1TB Toshiba SATA Hard Drives, Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Super.

Is that still the case? If yes, I couldn't get any Vegas AI FX to work with an i7 4770 CPU.

Recommended system specs for AI are listed under 'System Requirements' in https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/product-comparison/

Maybe the GPU is the issue? Someone with only that enabled will have to report on it.

Problem Solved. It seems that when I installed VP22 I thought I had selected that the Deep Learning module to also be installed. I was wrong! I have just installed it, and the AI effects now work. ๐Ÿ™‚

Intel ARC A750 graphics works well with V22. Rendering is very fast and fault free, and previewing is smooth.
