All I want is a PLAY button

I know the answer will be simple but I can't for the life of me figure out how to only show a PLAY button that when pressed will play my movie. I do not want any chapters or anything else just a friggen play button. I can end up with a thumbnail of the first frame of the movie also displaying the file name of that video file in the thumbnail when pressed will play the video but that looks quite shitty. I just want the word PLAY and when the play button is pressed the video will play.....

It sounds like you're very close - just a single Menu project.

Once you've dropped the clip on the menu, select the button then look at the properties window to the right of the screen.

Under Graphics change Button style to Text only. Thumbnail gone ...

Highlight the Text and click "Edit Text" on the right below the screen.

Change the text to read "Play"
