Almost deleted my audio Plugins in Vegas 6d

A few weeks ago I was cleaning up my production PC and noticed I still had Vegas 5 on my system. I decieded to remove Vegas 5 and i did. However when I next opened Vegas 6d shortly thereafer I noticed a number of my effects plugins had disapeared. then i remembered a thread from long ago warning of that very thing. Today I tried to search to find an answer but could not locate anything that would help me.

I want to remove Vegas 5 from my PC but retain all the plugins. Do I need to use the migration tool or what do need to do?

I don't know if this is relevant- at some point I found that many (but not all) of my Vegas 6 audio plugins had disappeared. It might have been around the same time I uninstalled Vegas 5. Fortunately the plug-ins came back after I re-installed Vegas 6.

Thanks I had not uninstalled V6 but only V5. I think I will leave well enough alone. I'm leaving V5 on this machine until I can get a for sure answer on this issue.

I think I did the same as you- uninstalled V5 but not V6. The plug-ins returned when I "re-installed" V6d over top of the existing V6d installation (without ever having uninstalled V6).

Yes, thaks, I hace the same problem.
With V6 my plug in are not available !

I unistalled V5 and V4, but many keys remains in the registry !
I don't know what do cancel !

I've reinstalled V6 properly and reinstalled : nothing to do !
