Almost "Live" switching or cutting... Possible?

I recorded a live show using 2 cameras. I want to sync the 2 tracks up and then switch between the 2 on the fly, almost like cutting between cameras in a live TV show. Is this possible? This would be great as it would save a lot of time and I can almost do it in real time. Then if the cuts don't work out exactly, I could go back and tweak. Not looking to do anything fancy... just straight cuts back and forth. Thanks!

Not sure how long the tracks are...but you could:

1. Lay them down in VV as takes and then switch between them at will. -or-
2. Lay them down as individual tracks and then "mute" one track at a time to see where you want to cut....then, you can split the video at those points and either completely take out the track you don't want - or just turn it all the way down so it can not bee seen.

Other than that....maybe some scripting?

Yes it is possible - and with MORE than straight cuts. Search for gkvideoguy and send him an e-mail. I wrote a script he is providing as an add-on to a video he is creating. This script will do all you are asking and more. Ask him about availability.
