I am trying to create a lower third with movement in it using After Effects. I need to be able to open this LT in Vegas, select straight(unmatted) in the clip's properties and us the LT as an overlay. Can someone help me get through this hurdle?
Just export as a 32 bit file from AE, and yes, in Vegas, right click the file if Vegas doesn't see the alpha automatically, and choose Properties, then set the alpha there.
What is the hurdle? You've got the correct process.
Sometimes the answer is right before your eyes one just can't see it because they are trying too hard. Thanks for your advice Spot, I will give it a try now...
Spot, I am using AE5.5 Production Bundle. I am not having any luck creating an animated LT with a "Checkered Board" BG to use an an O-lay in VV4. Would you mind giving me a short step by step.
In the Render Queue, I choose "Lossless with Alpha" in the output module. I also selected "Add Alpha" under "Transfer Mode". I don't know if this had any bearing on the output transparency or not. I will experiment a bit more and later outline my findings here in the forum...
