jetdv: you should put a number sign after the ampersand and a semicolon after l t. MSIE is the only browser that renders metacodes without the semicolon (quite incorrectly, i might add; the HTML standard requires the semicolons). Other browsers show &lt instead of the < that you wanted to show.
