Alt+Z=Crash!

I'm running V5b and sometimes when I'm editing and I Ctrl+Z V5b will crash. It just disapears! Then when I re-open my project it has an error about an Audio Plugin not being found on the system. The string it lists looks like: 000000000-000000000-0000000-0000.

I can't see that I've lost anything, cause I save regularly, but it shure would be nice not to have a disapearing NLE. I'm just curious if anyone else is experiencing this and if there is a cause and/or fix.

Other than the occasional 'wowexec.exe' hangin on startup, I'm pretty satisfied.

Thanks in advance!

In your audio Device settings, are you using Direct Sound, ASIO, or Windows Classic, or MS Sound Mapper? I've had problems with Direct sound (random crashes, etc).

It's weird... I have an Echo Mia soundcard and sometimes it will start trippin and clippin so I change the Audio Device settings to another. I've always thought the ASIO/WDM would be best but like I say, I do have to go in and change them sometimes.

I will pay closer attention to what it's set to when it starts trippin and post again. But for starters, I will make sure it's not set to Direct Sound.
