Does this sound like a codec issue?
yup
Sometimes, allyou need to do is rename the extension.

Extensions are all .mpg - rendered five files with the same default setting. One plays, the rest either play audio with no video or get an error message in QT that they aren't movie files.

I'm gonna try to render out in V7 and see if that helps at all.

EDIT: Rendered in V7 got the same results - nothing in WMP, Audio only in another player, Error in QT. But rendering Main Concept MPEG1 works fine.

Any ideas?

Do you have any DVD player software installed on your computer?
Are you rendering to separate MPEG-2 & AC-3 streams or ...?
Try Media Player Classic or VLC media player.

You need an Mpeg2 codec on your Computer.

The easiest way to get this is to install some DVD playback software like Cyberlink PowerDVD.

Windows media player will not playback Mpeg2 unless there is an Mpeg2 codec installed.

Quicktime will not playback Mpeg2 unless you install an optional component. See http://www.apple.com/quicktime/mpeg2/

Hope this helps
