Am I missing something?

I purchased Vegas 4 and DVD Architect 1 last year, on an educational licence, just before Vegas 5 and DVD Architect 2 was announced. When I asked Sony for a price for an educational licence upgrade, I was told there wasn't such a price but was given authorisation codes for the latest versions, as I bought my boxed copies literally days before V5 and DVD-A2 were announced. Big thumbs up to Sony for the service.

So now I have my downloaded, fully licenced copies of Vegas 5 and DVD Architect 2. I don't have the manuals, but that's fine, as I have the PDFs. I also have my boxed copy of Vegas 4.

Am I missing something else though? I have heard you guys talking of some other free software which comes on the CDs for titling. What is it, should I have it and where can I get it? Also, on the Vegas 4 CD, there was some audio software, Soundforge I believe.

Manuals you don't get anyways.
No audio software, SF is a separate product.
V5 came with Boris lt or something like that and I think Magic Bullet.
Both those you can download I believe and you should have been given keys for them.
THe full list of what you should have is on the V5 dowload page plus some sample projects. Also have a hunt around. There's some extra free themes for DVDA to be had and some free Vision Loops.
Bob.

You can download both User's Manuals in .pdf files from Sony. Just scroll down the page once you get there.

I already downloaded most things, including the manual, but it is Boris and Magic Bullet that I now realize I am missing, thanks Jay. I never received codes for these from Sony, and there was no mention from them that I should have them.

I will write back to my contact at Sony for the codes. Anyone know the best place to download Boris and Magic Bullet from?

The same place you download Vegas:

I do not recall ever receiving a key for these either, However...

The very first time I ran them they connected to the internet and were automatically activated.

D'oh. Do I feel stupid? Well, just a bit, you see I was downloading from this page, which doesn't list Boris and Magic Bullet.

Sorry, I don't know how to make that URL an active link on this forum.

Thanks Bob for the news on the downloads, I think I read something somewhere that confirms that they auto-register if Vegas is installed into the correct directory structure. I will download tonight.

Just use the standard HTML HREF command.
