ambiguous updates from Sony

Is the update for my VMS 10 Platinum offered by Sony a complete install? I thought updates were just something smaller, but I'm being asked if I want to replace the already installed VMS 10.

It sure does, mvid! Thanks. Was having the typical problems of my vms 10 bogging down and stalling now that I'm half way through editing my project. Instead of overreacting, I've found some really great help in the knowledgebase that I'm going to try first. thanks again
