AMD X2 4200 VS PENTIUM D 820

Sam's Club has two HP computers; one has the AMD X2 4200 processor and the other has a Pentium D 820, both with 1GB RAM.

I prefer the AMD but the Pentium PC has the following that the AMD does not.

300 GB HD vs 250 GB - Not a big deal.

Coaxial digital input and output - not just output . I do a more audio work than video at present.

7.1 surround sound outputs. Not a big deal at present.

A better ("shiny" screen and adjustable height) 19" HP monitor model HPF1905b.

DVI (or HDMI) output instead of just composite or S.

The AMD PC cost $1,349 and the Pentium D cost $1,599.

Which one should I purchase?

Thank you,
David Vollmer

Go with the AMD. It's much much better. Why? Maybe ask one of the many Intel executives who just got fired. :-)
