Good thing Vegas didn't need any attention, because then this package wouldn't have been possible.

I'm starting to wonder if I should 'fess up to using Vegas to other audio people. This ranks somewhere near the level of OJ's "If I Did It" and Gap's new campaign, "Peace, Love and Gap".

What the hell is going on?

Wasn't Sonic Foundry so cool?

I'm thinking of giving Vegas more attention. How about a Reaper plugin so that VEG files can be opened as a project in Reaper. How cool would that be?

exactly what is supposed to go on.

You install vegas on any PC and you record as many tracks as you like.

FYI, Reaper can open Vegas EDL projects. Just save the project as an EDL from Vegas and open it in Reaper. Now that Reaper has Rewire support, you can even use it with Acid....Yummy!!! Exactly, what Vegas should have been.

Yeah, I have to admit that I keep on looking at Reaper. I'm looking for when it additionally becomes the better Acid than Acid. With all the little things left out of Acid, it really becomes frustrating to work with the program after awhile, despite all the good things it does do. I guess Sony prefers to focus on developing smaller versions of the same program like this Extreme Music Creator and slap a new name on it, in an attempt to sell it to the masses, rather than focusing on completing the features in Acid Pro to make it a true multitrack program or the things that just don't work properly.

It's truly sad, there seems like so much potential for these programs but they all seem like they're rushed out the door in a half complete state.

Won't be long I hope. Reaper already has support for tempo map and time signatures, its just a matter of some additional smarts to handle events in an Acid-like fashion.
