This happens with my VP10e for the .veg I'm working on most right now.
Below is the Win7 Events log on this showing it's somehow related to the Sony Media Manager.
What file and what streaming?
I get this exact same error message when I create an animated graphics title in another editing program that has an easy-to-use animated titler and forget to delete the empty audio track before saving it as an avi in the other program.
I doubt very much that anybody on these Forums has a remedial clue as to what to do.
But do send your "evidence" off to SCS.
I've had these error messages before now, and all I've done was to close down my PC, reboot, cross my fingers and look at my screen sideways through half-open eyes as Win7 climbs back into the seat.
Seriously? I've sent many "phone-homes" to SCS, hopefully they will mean something to the engineers in redressing these issues.
"An error occurred while creating a proxy file..."
This often means that the file that the program is trying to write can't be opened by Windows. Either it already exists and is in use by another program, or it's locked by a program that was not closed properly or there's just not enough room on the hard disk to hold the file.

OK, that makes sense. Right now, it's not happening but it probably will again, so.I'm going to pay closer attention to what other progs I have open when this occurs.
