Hi everybody,
I have a question about how to make analog-digital pass trough work in Vegas 4. I have CANON MiniDV 200MC and Vegas 4.0 installed, and what I want to do is to digitize my old Video tapes by passing signal through my camcorder to computer. I connect VCR to my camcorder and camcorder to computer, and when I play tape in VCR I can see video on my camcorder’s monitor, and when I try to capture signal with capture utility in Vegas it does capture a video for about a second or two, but then internal camcorder’s player kicks in and incoming signal is lost since there is nothing on the miniDV camcorders tape. The problem is obvious - capture utility tries to work the miniDVTape instead of just getting what ever incoming signal is. Is there a way to suppress Tape capture and instead capture the signal that comes from firewirw card?
Thanks, Igor.
