I am consulting a friend who has recently upgraded her computer with an 80G dedicated video drive. She transferred her video files from the C drive to the new drive. Half of her files were analogue captures and half were dv fire-wire captures. ALL of the analogue files are now unusable! What's up with that? Another user had the same problem. (See this thread for my original post with more details: http://www.sonicfoundry.com/forums/ShowMessage.asp?MessageID=99757&Page=1 )
Does anyone have a fix for this? The files will still preview if you right click and go to properties and preview, but windows will not recognize the files or play them otherwise. Again, please see the above thread for more complete details. Although she is using Video Factory, this seems to be a windows problem, so I thought I would seek the advice of you Vegas users. (I use Vegas 3, myself!)
Thanks,
Chris
