Analogue capture problems

After evaluating for a week or so I decided to buy on line but am having some problem with analogue capture. I have the Pinnacle DC10+ capture card with all the latest Window 2000 drivers.

I also capture DV (using Pinnacle's DV capture card) without any problems.

When I select Pinnacle DC++ MJPEG Capture Filter Properties... I find that I cannot adjust any of those properties except for selecting S-Video or Internal under Video Input - Source. But the Apply button does not become active and, therefore, cannot actually set any changes. So it seems I'm stuck with Composite capture - not what I wanted.

After capturing my analogue footage I then have the following happen once I click on the 'Stop' icon;

An error occured during the current operation
An Exception has occurred

The DC10 is not supported- sorry.

Actually no that may not be true. Depends on the drivers that they've released.

Video Capture will support devices that provide a VFW (Video for Windows) driver, or a DirectShow capture filter.

I've tested with the DC30 under Win98SE using their VFW drivers and had success.

However, I also tested under Win2k using their proprietary drivers and that did NOT work since they didn't support VFW or DirectShow.

You may want to check and see if you can get an updated driver from Pinnacle.
