Nicely done. Square frame of the video content. Simple, yet very unusual. Painters use different aspect ratios, why should we as filmmakers feel obliged to fill the 4:3, 16:9, 22:9 we're presented with. Great colours too.
Well, it would certainly be useful to me if you could explain how you animated the leaves in Vegas. Surely not 3D track motion on individual leaves?
Yes sorry you are write, not only still:
the leaves and the rain are short demo clip of proticle programs find in magazine put in loop + vegas rotation, black chroma to the background of the clip for alpha and stretch doooown the time of the clip. in fact you can see the orrible "stop motion effect" when they start, but someone love this "effect"
As someone who grew up in Italy back in the 60s (Parioli, Roma -- but we were not part of the rich :), there is a feel to it that almost goes back to that time. Very good work! While my Italian is a bit rusty, nice story and universal philosophical closing statement.
Your clip's lyrical/storytelling and musical style reminds me of an Italian progressive/"concept rock" type composer who had an album simply titled "1983." The cover colors were in the blues and whites and stylized with an image of the guy's face in there somewhere.
I can't remember the artist's name and can't fish out the vynil LP right now to tell you his name for it's buried in a closet in a hard to get place,
If you don't know about this album, I think you might enjoy it.
I could fish it out at some point and make an mp3 copy and send it to you. I found it in a local used LPs store here in Los Angeles many years ago.
It's not new but it's in good shape. Naturally, copyright issues stand -- this would be only for personal, not broadcast or publishing use.
