Animate video effects

I have Vegas Video 8.0 running on windows XP.

I just recently got 8.0, i used to have 5.0b. So when i tried to animate a track effect i found that the animation controlles were missing from the bottom of the effects dialog box. I have not been able to figure out how to get the animation controlls back. Can anyone please help me out on this one?

From an earlier thread... "Hover your mouse between the window edge and the bottom of the etched border around the FX dialog box. When the cursor becomes a double-bar with arrows (as opposed to just arrows), click and drag up."
